Hey guys! New to the forum here
I don’t currently own a Mopar but I am a big fan!
I also work on a lot of classic cars as a side hustle so this is a good place to get information and whatnot if I happen to be working on an A-Body for sure!

Also also, my main job is restoring classic car interior plastics
This includes new plastic chrome or “Vacuum Metalizing”
So if anyone is in need of some interior restorations hit me up and I will get you the shop number.

I will also put pieces I have already done up for sale here from time to time.
(I have a couple pieces over in the for sale forum now )

But anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and I’m happy to be part of the group.

Interesting chrome plating plastic came up. I have been working on a few 3d printed trim part projects that could use chrome.

Yes we can do 3d print but there’s info we have to exchange visit the website and give us a call at the shop I can deff help you out.

I messaged you through the site and can send the CAD file as a follow-up.

39 years ago I took ALL the dashboard plastic bezels on my '67 Monaco and had them vacuum chrome plated at a place I think it was called Westland Plating (in Westland Michigan). I think currently and maybe the past 10 or 20 years people have been thinking that plastic chrome plating services have disappeared, just like there are fewer places where you can get your bumpers chromed or your radiator re-cored.

You should check out FCBO (the C-body website). There's some interest there in restoring the chromed plastic pieces on those cars. There's been some recent posts about the various types and methods of painting chrome onto plastic. Using paint and air guns for painting models and also plastic car parts has emerged because of the perception (real or not) that vacuum plating of plastic parts is now out of reach for a lot of people.
