Sorry aboot the spam of pictures!
My name is Jordan Tunge! Living in Brandon, SD. I have a 70 Shart (Dart) 318 Block, 360 J Heads with a A904-1. I bought it in 2013 after graduating HS. Drove it for a year then it sat in 2016-2023 because Army.

I’ve been a mopar fan for a long time! I worked at Thunder Valley in Marion, SD through High School and married a racer! I served my country for 8 years in the Active Duty Army. Was a Blackhawk Mechanic, Crewchief, and section sergeant. 2023 I loved back to my home state.

I do have a list for this car that I’m wanting to find.

1.) A-Body 8.75 rear end. Don’t care about the gears.
2.) Every possible tech manual with specs. For a 70 Dart. I want hard copies not digital or google search.

Head over to my mopar.com all of the manuals are available digitally for free (I know you said you wanted hard copies) and should suffice until you find the books.

:welcome: from :canada:

Thank you for your service.
Great choice for your first car. 1970 is my favorite year of Dart, I've had quite a few over the years. Good luck with your project and keep us posted with a build thread.

Welcome to the show.

Want ads are a great way to find things you are missing. Etc.

Cars and Mopar Parts Wanted

I have found great success searching eBay for manuals and such.

Best on unraveling the car. The search button is your friend on tapping into the hive mind on here.

Thanks you for your service! I'll be in Marion, the beginning of June. On the 8 3/4, small or large bolt pattern?

Welcome! Nice car! South Dakota, my Mom's home state. Been a lot of places in that great state, but mainly the black hills!

Welcome from California.
If you're up for it, Cass is a great guy and can set you up with 8.75's and Dana 60's.

Welcome to FABO, Jordan!
As others have said, thank you for your service.
A-body 8.75s are getting very pricey. As an alternative you can always get either a B-body or C-body 8.75 and have it narrowed to the correct width.

I have heard that is also an option and have the will to do it. But if I can get a A Body rear I’ll pay. It’s either that or I’ll get the rear carrier as if the K member replacement carrier wasn’t enough lol

There is also an option to use an 8.8 Ford rear axle sourced from an Explorer, pre 2002. They typically have a 3.73 or 4.10 gear, traction lok differential, 4.5 inch bolt circle, and disc brakes. There are threads here on the site that explain the steps to take for the swap

You forgot very strong, those things take a beating and don’t break. Good suggestion.
