Here is a set of the original 383 TRW @ .060
They have been sitting on the Shelf 15 or 20 years!!
I believe the metallurgy and quality was much better
when they were real TRW manufactures rather than
later when they became part of Speed Pro Pistons.
The skirt tolerance was nearly perfect back them and
not too good on later Speed Pro Pistons I have found =
I will not ever use the newer ones again.

These are .060 over with about 20 cc dome as I recall/
I think with my heads at 79 cc it calculated out to just over 11 to 1.
Of course, if your heads have not been milled and are stock and deck
is not cut to specs you would be more like 10 to 1 with a Fel Pro .038 gasket.

They are professionally balanced to 1013 Grams which was what
my stock 383 pistons weighed. That way I could us stock balance
and save $350.00 on balancing.

$475.00

$38. shipping with $500.00 Insurance

The TRW/Speed Pro Pistons for the last 20 years or
more have been made in India and sometime Mexico.
They are not the SAME QUALITY product at all in my
experience and I have been racing Mopars for 60 years
at a National Level.
Pin bores way out of Square meaning top is not flat in bore plus
Valve reliefs are also not position or angled properly on the
Offshore made newer ones either in my experience. Plus they are not returnable
for out of specs. I believe the materials are also suspect.
Look for the Pistons with = Made in USA in the box!!

Really try to buy American produced when possible.

Sorry for the Rant!

I know that you can buy the new ones for about the same price,
but these are truly a much nice piston and balanced to drop right in you
stock engine.
Cheapest I have seen these for is $75 each on E Bay without balancing.
