Hi Folks, New here. First car I learned to drive was my dad's orange 70 Duster. it was bare bones, power nothing, slant 6 no radio and vinyl flooring, but he loved it. Fast forward to 2023 and I found a B5 1971 Duster not too far away in Yorkton Saskatchewan. It has a built 360 from a '79 Aspen. Cam, intake and 4 bbl. Original paint car with original rust in the trunk! Have to finish a couple of cars first, but it will be on the road as a work in progress in the spring. I'm sure I will have lots of questions then. Unfortunately, I had to get my Rt. shoulder repaired and can sadly do nothing vis a vis cars for the next while, but it gives me the opportunity to learn about these and gather some parts. Retired mechanic/shop owner and have a hoist at home.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Glad I checked back today as I didn't get email alerts after the first 4 messages. Musta fat fingered something! Really looking forward to working on the Duster. Back bumper has been straightened and re-chromed and waiting to go back. I bought a Rt. quarterpanel for it and I should be able to patch up the drivers side. Only plan to use bits of the rt. quarterpanel as it's not that bad. Spare tire well is 50/50. Probably easier to replace.

Welcome from Texas, cool cars. I had shoulder surgery about five years ago, took about a year to heal up better than I was.

Thanks! Had the LF. rotator cuff done last year and I was back at it in no time. This one(Rt) was much worse with a detached bicep as well. Loosing my mind hanging around the house staring at cars I can even touch.
