Bolts out, Habs out, Devils out. Jets on way to taking lead.
GO LEAFS! :canada:
Jets need to get much more physical with the Blues top players. The blues have been taking way too many liberties with Schiefele and Morrissey, Schiefele doesn't come out for the second period after a few more hits including one from Brayden Schenn that should have been a major for boarding after he left his feet when Schiefele didn't have the puck.

I missed the hit, but heard the "crew" on Sportsnet talking about it in intermission.
They said if Scheifele was immediately hurt there probably would have been a penalty call. None of them liked the hit.

Schenn got a minor for the hit, a scrum followed that saw Schenn get a second minor along with the Jets Brandon Tanev.

TBL put on a better game, but not good enough.

Enough to not wear the bag.

I really don't like Marchand, but he seems to be good for FLA.

Hellebuyck played better in game 5, made a highlight reel save on a shorthanded 2 on 1, but still let in a soft one, team did a better job of clearing out the Blues players from the front of the net and limiting the shots and scoring chances. The Jets have to be more physical, like they were in the first 2 games. Back to St. Louis and game 6.

Kaprizov’s little candy-assed, half hearted, and **** work ethic dive just now that resulted in the Vegas’s second goal summarizes their season perfectly, in my opinion.

They don’t have a “playoff gear”, they don’t have the talent, and they just don’t seem to give a damn.

They’re just not good enough, and I am so sick of this ****. Screw ‘em.

(I should have stayed out in the shop. Go Jets!)

They remind me of this:

Congratulations to Edmoton, the better hockey team won the series. Though LA had their chances to take the series, they floundered games away with basic hockey 101. Again congrats to Edmonton on a well deserved series win. The better team definitely won.

And now hockey season is over. I will not watch another game this season. Hopefully the Kings can come back next year, better, faster, stronger GKG !!!!
Dodgers, Rams, Lakers, Kings LA All Day !!!!!

I saw something about the coach basically screwing the lineup and costing the Kings the series. I didn't watch any of the games so I don't know. Seemed like L.A. had it figured out in the first two, of course the Oilers made adjustments and are a good team too.

Likely a combination of reasons why the Kings lost the series but a few are:
-LA only using 9 forwards and 4 dmen for most games (except game 6 when those younger players actually scored since they played more minutes)
—This was made even worse in game 4 when it went into OT and the coach continued to only use 9 forwards and 4 dmen
-Brutal LA goalie interference challenge in game 4
-LA playing a 1-3-1 style once they had the lead in games which didn’t prove successful the last 3 years either
-Oilers, due to injuries, hadn’t played with a near full roster for several weeks before the regular season ended before getting a few players back in games 1 and 2 (Walman, Kingberg, McDavid, Draisaitl, Kane and Frederic). LA played great those first two games and deserved to win/lead the series.

JMO

LA series hinged on the non clearance when the opportunity was there and Edmonton stole the game 4, momentum and series.

Chip that **** off the boards or up the middle to clear the zone. Even taking an icing, maybe game 4 goes to the Kings.

That seems to be a common issue in games this playoff season, at least the ones I've watched, inability to clear the defensive zone, and not willing to risk an icing call, Jets have been burned more than once.

Exactly what happened. Byfield had a chance to clear the puck with around 40 seconds to go in the game. Instead he tried to make an extra move to hit it into an open net. Instead, he got his pocket picked and the Oilers scored to tie it with seconds to go in the game. Kings lose in overtime, and never recovered from it. One play could have completely changed the outcome of the series. But I still believe the better team won. There were times during the series where it looked like Edmonton was a pro team, and LA looked like a city parks team. :(

There was another point in that game 4 that I thought the kings messed up a bit on a time burn approach. They had complete control of the puck around their own blue line with around 2 minutes to go. The D stood up there and started moving the puck up ice. I was yelling at my TV, go behind your own net. Set up, burn more time, then exit the zone.

Same as a team that is ahead in football with time running out and snapping the ball with 25 seconds left on the play clock. Use all that time to shorten the game.

Oilers are good. Kings helped them a bunch
