Oettinger stole that game for the Stars. He was exceptional, Hellebuyck was average at best. Some questionable calls in this series, as I am sure there have been in other series.
 
Pretty hard to win when u only score 1, but his teammates gotta be so deflated.
This year(I say it every year lol) the refs are horrible.
Any one notice AGAIN the retarded officials leaving broken sticks everywhere?

The 'kicked in' goal that was 'propelled' by Hellebuyck's stick in game 3 was complete b.s. The analysts are still talking about that one, the double minor tonight on Fleury for what amounted to a follow through, and the non call on the slash on Kyle Connor on a breakaway.........
 
Yep there's lots of **** calls, that "propelled" goal was beyond belief lol. What was Helly sposed to do? He tried to stop it after it was kicked.

That was a GOOD goal ya he kicked it but the goalie deflected it into the net it was NOT kicked directly into the net hense Good goal :usflag: :usflag::usflag:
 

Lmao not kicked into the net? Clear as day he did. It went OFF Hellnback. Refs blew it and so did HQ.
That's like saying Marchand was only taste testing Uncle Leo when he licked him... :lol:

A direct quote from the NHL Rulebook, rule 6.11 part b:
"Kicking the puck cannot result in a goal, unless a defending player kicks the puck into their own goal. This includes when an attacking player kicks the puck and it goes off any other player or object and goes into the goal. The key principle of this rule is that no goal can be scored as a result of a kicking motion by an attacking player."

I don't know how much clearer that can be stated.
 
What the hell happened to the Leafs tonight? I missed it, but holy ****- The guys doing the Oilers/Vegas game (PK, Pronger, Messier, et al) all but said that people in the front office should be FIRED due to the **** show that was put on display tonight. People throwing their own jerseys on the ice? Wow!
 
Why mgmt? Same players(for most part) were the ones playing tonight that played in 1st 2 games. PLAYERS should be embarrassed/fired/stoned/strung up.
My young lad sent me this lol

The gist of the argument (comment?) was that everything has changed since the last time the Leafs made it to the second round- except the front office. They specifically called out a name that I know (but have already forgotten, been a long day, sorry!), and I have to admit I was really surprised by that. Normally those guys are pretty light hearted and easy going, but in my best Herb Brooks impression: “Not tunite!”
 
Same nucleus or "core 4" as last 1st round series win. They have new D, new goalie, new coach. Treliving has been there 3 years now? They were probably talking Shanahan, fn guy gets Prez of hockey ops with ZERO experience....he can go.
ALL should be put between the pipes and face slapshots in their ginch.
All skill, ZERO will.

I guess there will be no Oilers vs Leafs matchup coming. The Oilers are looking better every game. I'm thinking Draisaitl is hurt. Its possible Elkholm comes back some time and Pickard should be back and available next series.
