Everything is out of a junkyard or parts I had layin' around, cup holder is out of a '95 beretta, shifter was free from a buddy, steering wheel i re-dyed out of a '87 monte carlo SS, tach was a freebee, toggle panel out of a ford conversion van, hood vents off a '68 big block camaro, front end is '60 apachie an hood.. Have some 60's that will drop the front another 1 or 1-1/2".. A kid up the road from me crashed his old '67 stepside chevy that I'm after the bed...
Not gasser porn, but it's truck porn, had a hole in my cab floor you could throw a cat through.. it being my rat rod beater I just whipped up a quick patch and fixed it, took me about 45 minutes and about a $1.00 worth of supplys (I low buck everything).. If it were a restore or show truck I would have fixed it where you couldn't tell it, but it's not the floor will just get some splatter paint later... Safety always comes first so I wrapped a wet towel around the end of the gas tank before I did any welding...
I'll take that as a compliment.. Y'all love it when I take an old barrel, back of an old woodstove or a set of mobile home bedrails and work my magic :rr:
Yesterday I made the score of the decade, I'm still in freakin' shock, gotta haul it home tomorrow.. I was in the right place at the right time, it's not a mopar, but it's gonna greatly help my whole gasser program...
Whatcha get?Whatcha get?I wanna see...LOL.I,m gonna guess it,s something to do with suspension..straight axel?rearend??:clock:
Yes Paul will probably be gone another 4 months and wait until he returns to tell us what he scored.....:read2:
Yep, that's how we roll.... I have $110 in it countin' gettin' it hauled.. I'm keeping the heavy duty power brake system, bed, rear and front end and the rest gets sold>>> grille inserts=$30 rear window=$25 rust free door=$100 spare tire holder=$15 heater system=$35 driveshaft=$40 battery tray=$15 radiator support=$45 gas tank=$50 Have I made my money back yet?? :thumrigh:
I was going to check the rear end to see if it was posi, I just had to look under the passenger side rear fender to figure out "it's not uh posi"... Theres no wonder the kid wrapped it around a tree, thats strans of rubber hangin'..
That gasser is lookin' good!!! You passed me along time ago, I'm workin' on my gasser tow truck rite now..
They are engine and drivetrain wise, If I built a pre-'73 step side bed from an aftermarket parts catalog it would cost between $2,500 an $3,000.... Value wise nice pre-'73 Chevys go for more then ford and Dodge on average...
