Trying to get the dash buttoned up...installed all new bulbs

Pull the switch and no dash lights. Checked the Tan wire at
the light switch and my test light comes on. I have an orange
wire with a clip on the end going nowhere. It is wrapped with
the wires going to the flasher. If I pull the light switch this
wire becomes energized. Is there a feed wire that needs to plug
into the back of the cluster somewhere.

Thanks for any info you can give me.

    Tony

I have the same problem, no dash lights. I'll have to check my tan wire.

Someone else was trying to fix dash lights recently. Didn't know they were fixed until sunset. Just a thought.

Is the circuit boards new or restored?
The dashlight for the speedo is connected to the circuit board at the connector with three pins (to the left of the speedo). The light for the right side of the cluster is connected to the connector for the amp/oil/fuel/temp gauges.
Could it be that the connection for the pins on the circuit board is bad?

Circuit board is the one that came in the car. When I got the car
in 2006 everything was unhooked. Not sure if it worked prior to
    that.

I'll be pulling the cluster again to see if I can see anything obvious
    this p.m. or tomorrow.

I know what you mean about waiting until dark Ben. I thought of that
last night and turned the garage lights off. No luck. The panel isn't
screwed in so it may be a grounding issue. Will run a temp. ground
    wire and see.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Dont fire the panel up without a chassis ground. Most of it wont work without it anyway but... if the wrong circuit seeks a ground through another circuit you have problems.
A dedicated ground wire on one of the screws that attach bezel to the housing down to the steering column area is a good move. What works best for me is attaching to the screw that holds the fusebox up and a male/felame disconnect in the line. That way I can lower the column, pull the panel outward ,and still have a ground for testing.
    Happy moparing
