For Sale on ebay; here's the link:

Chrysler Plymouth Dodge MOPAR NOS/NEW Ballast Resistor(4 Terminal), 1971-Newer | eBay

Mopar Part Number 3874767 - NOS/NORS (New Old Stock/New Old Replacement Stock) Four-Post Ballast Resistor for all Mopars (Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler), for late 1971 and newer production cars, trucks, and vans with Electronic Ignition. Excellent for your restoration and/or to have as the spare(s) in your glovebox. Also have available the 4 terminal ballast resistor with no number stamped in it (blank ballast resistor).

Again, this is a NOS (New Old Stock) Ballast Resistor, produced by a Chrysler Corporation supplier to Chrysler specifications. Note the second photo showing the back of the ballast resistor - the ballast resistors are sealed, not open! This means that the resistors are not "open" facing the firewall of your car! A superbly manufactured part!

This is a NEW (NOS - New Old Stock), as well as replacement (NORS - New Old Replacement Stock) ballast resistor, MADE IN THE USA!!!! Cross reference Part Numbers Include: Part Number # RU12, RU12T, WELLS# 6R1008, CR1105, Other Part Numbers 8A4, CR105, 50-5501, FR57, 73071, ICR24, 5212 OE# 12336833, 23005, 3656199, 3874767

Larger quantities available for discounted price - please PM for details.

$6.75 each, with free shipping from Northport, New York. If you want to purchase more than one or two, PM me. Thanks!

Aren't these available new?

The Ballast Resistors I have are NOS (New Old Stock), from an original Chrysler Supplier (Colber Corp.), with Part Number 3874767 stamped in them (and, as mentioned in the original post above and in the ebay listing, also have the "blank" ballast resistors available as well).

I'm not aware of any company currently producing these ballast resistors with Part Number 3874767 stamped in them. I do know the quality of these ballast resistors, and have spot tested them to ensure that they are not defective.

Got mine other day. Thanks!! I rather have a NOS that works for my can and a spare than one from parts store that might ( might not) !!!

Thanks! Not to mention, these ballast resistors were Manufactured in the USA :icon_fU:; the generic ballast resistors available in the part stores (not to mention the "generic" ballast resistors available on ebay) are Made in China :(. I'll match the quality and reliability of these ballast resistors against the generics any day.

do these work with the chrome box?

Sorry to answer a question with a question, but what type of ballast resistor were you using in your wiring harness/ignition configuration before with the chrome box you have? A 4 terminal ballast resistor or a 2 terminal? If it is a 4 terminal ballast resistor, the one listed here would be the correct Mopar 4 terminal ballast resistor (Part Number 3874767). Again, the 4 terminal ballast resistor listed here would be correct for late 1971 and newer cars with electronic ignition.

I might be wrong, but is not the 4 pin ballistic for the 5 pin ECU and the 2 prong will work on 4 pin ECU ( or 5 pin not sing 5th wire)..and points? Agani, don't go by me!!!

As barbee said - depends on the box. Here are two diagrams:

First Diagram with 4 Terminal Ballast Resistor:

Diagram with 2 Terminal Ballast Resistor:

Both are chrome boxes... :)
