Anybody happen to know what the gear oil capacity is off hand for an 8.25. I have the cover off and the differential on axle stands. It would be easier to fill it and seal it back up in this manner.

Thanks

My 1975 Service Manual says 4.4 PTS, (3 1/2 Imperial). I've got my 8.25 on the work bench redoing the gears to a sure grip and 3.55. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. Almost done my swap from 3.21s to 3.93s should wake it up some.

Nice, that will work. I'm going from an open 2.45 to sure grip 3.55. I've never had mine on the road except for in and out of the garage in my driveway, so I really don't know what to expect. What A-body do you have?

Nice. When you do get a chance, that 355 gear set is perfect for fuel mileage and acceleration. I am working on a 73 Duster. 318 3-speed 8.25. Soon to be a 340 4-gear. It was a 340 4 speed originally.
