Old delivery vehicles

How cool is that ice truck?

Here are a bunch I found (and I included a couple of streamliner wreckers - not deliveries, but they're cool looking - note that the very cool Texaco Truck in one of these is based on a Dodge Streamline truck

The designs that came out of the art-deco era are amazing. The quality and attention to detail are incredible.

Back when everything had style. Everything now is the same looking crap.

I love the entire "Art-Deco" design era, especially the commercial vehicles of the age.

I suppose the cost of maintaining these vehicles became to high, especially as traffic increased along with fender benders, and the price of customized sheet metal increased along with labor costs.

It was certainly a unique era in automotive history, and, I'm happy to say that growing up in the 1950's I do remember many of these vehicles.

The late 1930's 40's and 50's were certainly wonderful times for young gear heads, especially the post WWII era, which I was fortunate enough to witness.
