I am looking for a source where I can purchase a old style (mid 80's) dual V belt, single wire alternator for my shop engine run stand... I had one that I converted with a kit off of ebay............which did work originally but the secret podded electronics card got hot to the touch and quit working and was draining the battery..... so it got unhooked from the onboard battery system. The one I am needing or looking for does not have to be the 78 amp one (if my quarter of my last brain cell is still working) something in the 60 amp range that was produced as well would be fine. Thanks as always in advance... Texas Red..,. Gary

A grounded field alternator and VR, like 67-69 dart, has one wire for charging the battery and one wire from the regulator. Just add power to the VR and your up and running
