This model car is based on the Sullivan Bros. Fiat. The research for these cars is fun, and I've found lots, lots of valuable info from real life racers. Plans are hard to achieve, I'm happy to say these are fairly real like scale models.

How do make those? Do you start with a kit or is that all DIY raw materials?
