i was cleaning up the garage yesterday and i came across my old 8 3/4 carrier

it is an open unit, not sure what case it came out off, but its not doing anyone any good collection dust so if you want it, pay shipping and its yours

The only reason I removed it was to install a sure grip

(i dont have to tell you that this things is heavy, do i?)

it does not comes with any gears, and is located in Holland MI

Just as a note, you can use the thrust block in it. So you can run a spool with tapered bearings. Just slide it into the spool. Been running one that way for years. This is it.

I know we shouldn’t have a discussion in for sale ad, but it seems pertinent. The spacer in an open carrier will slide right into spool. You just slide in in before you put it in the housing. Then slide the axles in and adjust the end play as normal. Length wise it is just like it was still in the open carrier. Now it is smaller than the cavity in the spool, but it won’t move around much and it is so close to the rotation center point balance isn’t an issue if it is a bit off center.
