    Which do you think is stronger, u-joint straps & bolts or U-bolt type with nuts? Opinions please thanks

    ive broke straps, never broke u bolt type, replaced broken straps with u bolt type and thay held up where straps broke! ...DWB

        The straps never break, it’s the tiny 1/4 28 bolt that holds them down, and that’s only when the u joint breaks first. I will never understand why they made 3/4 ton 4x4 trucks with that little tiny u-joint. Have broken a few.The u bolt type way stronger.

        Stock straps are as strong as anything that is out there, never had a problem with them

        IMHO straps or u-bolts that break do it for the same reason, they were loose.
