Has anyone had issues with Passon Performance? Are they still in business?
Ordered parts, paid for parts and still waiting.
Thanks Bill

Ordered and received complete 4 speed conversion for the 68 dart. Promised in a month, took over 6 months with multiple phone calls. Decent products, but iffy delivery. Brewers next time.

I had heard the 5 speed thing went south at some point...when it came out they were selling like hotcakes I believe...that story goes back a while though 20 plus years I think.

try more like 8... 2018

It took lots of hounding him to get my parts shipped, when they showed up, stuff was missing and he blamed me. Ended up making it right, but took way more effort on my side than it should have.
He talked bad about the other Mopar vendors out there too.

My thought is if you have to put down other companies to help yours, your not worth my time or money.

I have ordered from Brewers a ton, and every transaction was painless and showed up exactly as it should have.

Yep, I called for a rebuilt 833 and a time frame. Told me he had all the parts on the shelf and could get it out the door asap.5 months later after calling him every week or so it finally showed up. Then they forgot to put the front seal in so when I drove it for the first time it leaked gear lube out and I thought the rear main seal went out in my 340 because it couldn't be the fresh rebuilt 833! think again had to pull the trans out and replace the seal. bonkers. Ill never deal with them again.

Passon no.

Brewer's yes.
They answer the phone, Dan will take your call, can easily order online or by phone, ship asap, package well, excellent service, extremely helpful, have custom parts, have old parts not listed online.
And the best part, Dan is active on the Mopar sites, not a stranger, chimes in regularly.

That's really sad to hear. I bought my 4-speed from Jamie in 2006 and it (and he) were flawless. I was looking for aluminum cases last year and he seemed too preoccupied to deal with me. It sounds like that 5 speed was gonna be awesome but too much for a one man show.

Yes, Dan is a great guy. We're lucky to have him.

On the other note, .......and I know you've seen this to, I've seen some people says "It's not Jamie, he's a good guy........" but all you have to do is read your thread. He was complicit in your situation up to his eyeballs. That whole thing was ridiculous and I'm glad it's behind you now.

I did talked to him at the Ohio show and he said he is so busy, its hard to keep up. But if this is an issue he needs to tell his customers.

As we get older its difficult to keep up speed and what young guy is he going to pass the torch to? I honestly never heard anything bad about Passon other than the 5 speeds didn't work out after a bit. Another story about guys getting older, I have a machine shop near me the guy is mid 50s and he'll do the work but you have to wait 6 weeks is about average etc. but once he's gone where do I go if I need a stock head redone? We have to be careful what we complain about 6 weeks if it's done right is about normal these days for 1 guy in his 50s with a waiting list.

Just to pile on.......
I waited 6 months on a bushed aluminum case.
He said Post Office lost it.
Funny, he "shipped" me the part before he charged me.
Never had that before.
He never could produce another one.

Brewers does ALL my 4 speed needs.

I've never heard a bad thing about Passon, except missed deadlines, incomplete orders, orders never arrive, customer has to take ownership, customer has to call multiple times, too preoccupied to deal with customers, bad mouthing other vendors, blaming the shipping company, and my personal favorite, blaming the customer.

If no one noticed, all of the above was in this thread, above, from fellow fabo members.

Brewer's or take your chances.

This reminds me of-was it Ryan at Shady Dell that screwed so many people, that is was just about unbelievable. I'd love to hear some of those stories again, not of the members here getting screwed, but how he was screwing them. Anyone have some good Shady Dell stories? Sorry to get off track. Moderator, delete this if you see fit.

You might as well have said "I went out with the biggest slut in town, but I knew it ahead of time" LOL
