I used your Callout stripe on my 69 Barracuda 11 years ago. It was the BEST quality possible. I also used your application gel. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING THE APPLICATION GEL! The stripe fit the curves of the car perfectly. Don't buy an Ebay knockoff.

I guess I'll be "that guy"..... I bought the truck brand new. The original stripes from the factory made it about 12 years before the billboards started to fail. The hood stripe lasted about 8 years before failing. It was my daily driver for the 1st 7 years of it's life. 100% exposure to the weather.

This really isn't a ***** session, just one man's review.

The initial quality seamed great. I can only hope that the extended quality of your stripe kits has improved from what it was 14 years ago. In 2011, I purchased your stripe kit (kit number 1989DST, but had to purchase the 1989DST-1 windshield visor separately) for my Shelby Dakota. I will say, they looked awesome and installed very well with no issues. I, too, used the application gel that I ordered with the kit. However, the hood stripe started failing within 3 years and the billboards were failing 4-5 years in. The truck had also, once again, became a daily driver as my oldest son learned to drive in it in 2012 and drove it to school and work for 2 years in 2013-2015.

Again, they looked awesome, albeit for a much shorter time period than I had expected. All that said, I can see where if my truck was a restored garage queen, the stripe package would have lasted longer and may still look great. Still, for a $450 stripe kit, I would have expected them to last more than half as long as the originals did.

1st pic is from back in 1992. Other pics are the re-stripe from 2011. Looked great, initially. So yeah - keep them garaged and not daily driven.

You can't wax or buff your decals. We also offer a decal "slide over" with adds extra UV protection which we developed with a chemist in AZ. Please everyone be aware that EPA controls that come into play . Many inks can't be used like the originals, they are banned due to lead in them which was in your original decals. We use the best inks on the market and always have that are allowed under government laws. Your weather conditions must also be taken into consideration and exposure to outdoor enviornments.

Thank you everyone for the kind comments as we strive to provide excellent customer service and product. the team at Phoenix Graphix

can you explain what the slide over is? Can you use it on stripes that have been in place for 3 years?

If you have had the car in the sun or a daily driver in poor weather it will not bring your decals back. If you have waxed or put any products on the stripes it will not help them as that can destroy the initial UV protection of the decals from us. However, if they are in great condition it will help prolong their life.

Kind of a silly post. Keep your car/truck in the sun, and of course its going to show signs of wear eventually. Show me one thing that isn't going to fail sooner or later, in the hot summer sun. Just saying. Phoenix Graphics make the best graphics available, on the market today.

My point is simply, same vehicle, same environment, one might expect them to last at least half as long as the originals before showing the same expected signs of deterioration.

I used Phoenix Graphix on my Demon project. I also used their gel to apply. Made the job a beeeze.
