Pinion angle question

Can I use the flat boss for mounting the pinion snubber to find my pinion angle on an 8-3/4?

Yep, but remember the angle relates to the relationship of
the transmission tail shaft to the differential.

Not to the pinion angle relative to the ground or anything else.

Thank you GTX JOHN! Yes, suspension is loaded and checking the angle at the transmission and differential. Can I use the boss that the transmission pan bolts to as an angle reference as well? Thanks again for posting

yep, but I use a boss on tailshaft because I do not take pan off or have to trust pa bottom.
