I'm headed there this weekend for one of my projects (work). Any good local places to eat?

how long are you going to be here. what kind of food do you like. there are a lot of places around here that has good food. what area in Cincinnati are you going to be.

I'm going for work - Thursday through Monday in the Eden Park Dr. area... Not sure where that is in terms of the rest of the city...lol. I like pretty much anything. Fast food to sushi.

if you are going to Eden Park area, you will be real close to downtown. you will want to go to the Banks district. Check out Toby Keiths Grill. There is so much to do down there. Bars and grills. you can literally get lost down there especially over the weekend. You will also want to check out The Celestial Steak House right there in Mt. Adams. There are a couple museums close to you if you are into that and Mirror Lake. You will have a great overview of Cincinnati and the Ohio River overlook.

Cool! Thanks for the ideas. I only really have time for meals and sleep on these trips so there won't be much sight seeing unless it's at night and outside my hotel window...lol

you will be real close to downtown and there is a bunch of places besides the ones I mentioned that you will have to choose from. But try and get to the Banks if at all possible. I think you will enjoy that. thebankscincy.com. Bill

The Horseshoe Casino has good food. There are several places in there to eat, and it's close.
Do you know exactly where you're staying? To say you're close to Eden Park is an iffy thing. It's strategically located between a few crappy areas and a couple nice ones. #-o
But just across the river is Newport on the Levey. Plenty there to do and eat.
The wife and I are hitting the casino this saturday, not to gamble but to eat at the buffet. Excellent Brazilian steak there.
While you're here, you need to go to Skyline and eat. Maybe the only time you can ask a woman for a 4-way and not have her smack you!:D
Some advice, stay out of Avondale, Bond Hill, Northside and the north end of Over the Rhine.
Those are "distressed" areas to say the least.
Something you're going to learn about Cincy is, this is a very isolated city. If it doesn't happen in Cincy, then it doesn't matter. Watch the news, you'll see what I mean.

The lower section of over the Rhine has a lot of great food also. If your into italian food then you have to try scottis. The place is over 100 years old and has amazing food.

For steak go to Morton's or the Jeff rubys steak house.

Those are both really expensive but there is a reason for that.

On the cheap side there is pompillieos in Newport for italian.

Just do a quick google search for best places to eat. Not to many hidden gems anymore thanks to the internet. As Gunbunny said though don't travel to far north in the city. Avondale, north college hill, Winton hills, and queensgate can get sketchy real quick. Enjoy our city and be sure to check out Newport on the levee!

Oh yeah, I forgot Pompillieios! That's terrific Italian and it won't kill you on price.
The Green Derby on York St in Newport is great too.
