I am working on a 96 dakota.
I have a bunch of different colored plastics which i want to dye or paint to the same color.

I see most are ABS plastic and some are PP

Has anybody done this around here?
I know lots of clean with soap and water
Scrub with a fine scrubby to rough up surface a bit.

I do have some adhesion promoter for plastics.

Do i use krylon fusion paint? Or is there something better?

I painted the wheels on my truck and one of our Calibers. I'm into black now.

Some time ago I found a paint, I think it was for vinyl seats. The chemicals in it chemically bond to plastics.

I was painting a computer case and I did a scrape off test. I could dent the plastic but paint was intact. To scratch paint off I had to gouge out the plastic.

Sorry I don't recall the name.

SEM color coat has always worked to perfection for me. The key is to put on many light coats to get uniform coverage without some areas looking more glossy than others. I prepped it the way you mentioned with the adhesion promoter and was more than happy with the results.

SEM is the best. Its really hard to mess up if you follow their instructions.
