Small rubber piece from a 76 dart sport steering column. Floor shift power steering. Cant remember where it belongs

Chrysler called that part a bumper #3575257. It was used on most steering columns with floor shift from 1971 thru 1976. Go to mymopar and download the 1973 dodge chassis service manual. On page 19-50 there is a picture of the bumper and a description of its function. It is great to have the service manuals available online, but the photos are a bit clearer in the original paper manuals.

The reason I asked if it was floor shift . It goes on the unlock part of the column that you depress to remove key. It is a cushion for the part with the spring so the column don't rattle.

I figured it out thanks to the responses. Thanks
