I have a 1968 440 in my 70 Duster.......I am upgrading the entire ignition system and I have a few questions on a installing a full MSD system.

MSD 6AL box
MSD 32739 wires
MSD 8202 coil
MSD Pro Billet 8546 distributor
Champion RJ12YC plugs

I bought the MSD 32739 wires and the long straight boots will likely not work......the headers and some plugs are close to the inner fenders

Is the a GOOD wire set that will have 90° boots at both the dist cap end and the plug wire end?

Thanks!!

I got the MSD 90* boots. Cut and crimp to desired length.

In stock trim, BB motors routed their wires differently in different years. To help pin down which combo you have or want, you should look at listings for original date coded wire sets. These listings show more than date variations. These sets are different because they vary in wire length and wire ends. This should lead you to what wire set you want or decide to make your own from a universal set.

If I decide go add 90° boots to my current straight boot set, will there be enough slack/length in the wires?

Should I just cut off the old straight boots and leave the wires alone?

The wires you listed can be bent to a 90' I read a review after I ran your Part # thru Summit. Here's the review.

Excellent 8.5-mm diam wire set for Mopar B/RB engines for street or race with 1-3/4" or 1-7/8" diam headers with MSD or HEI style distributors. With the stock/performance Mopar distributor use the Summit HEI cap/rotor set SUM-G5239 to convert to HEI terminals. Wires are long enough for good routing and plug terminals can be easily bent from straight (180 deg) to 135 deg or even 90 degs. Examine them carefully before you do this. They bend in one direction only. Insert spare spark plug, hold plug in hand, plug boot in other, and bend towards the molded MSD logo on boot. See photos of my 383 with Hooker Competition headers and manual steering. Note, no wire loom is provided (I used old plastic ones), and only one 18" long coil wire is provided (HEI to Standard coil tower). Cylinder number/wire lengths used: (2) 23", (4) 29", (6) 55", (8) 51", (1) 36", (3) 43", (5) 44", (7) 55".

I looked on the old set of wires........no part number at all:

I will try the straight boot bending method!
