I know that the tie rod ends are threaded differently (LHT and RHT) so the adjusting link will work. Does it matter which one is installed on the outboard end of the linkage and which one is on the inboard end?

The clockwise tie rod end goes on the outside.

Good info guys thanks this is a question I had too and havent asked yet. I guess the only reason I could see it would matter would be for the the alignment guy if he turns it one way to take it one way but it goes the other way he may get confused lol.

Actually "it did" matter.........back then..........to the front end guys who knew LOL

Once I replaced all 4 ends on my RR and took it to an alignment guy. Hell I didn't know any better. Anyhow, he told me "somebody" had the tie rods reversed LOL

At least try to get both sides the same

It also (at least to) used to matter when you BOUGHT them. You could go to the parts store and buy "inner" or "outer." We used to HATE it when people opened the boxes and mixed them all up!!!
