Hey guys I have been tracking an oil leck on my 68 Cuda 383. The oil was slightly lecking at the rear of engine, I checked all the basic areas (valve covers, oil pressure port, oil pan gasket ) so fearing it was the rear main seal I ran the car for the rest of the summer. Now that it is winter I decided to remove engine and tranny (4 speed) due to clutch problem also. So after removing flywheel I noticed traces of oil on back of engine (behind flywheel ) and also oil in this port ( where punch is pointing in picture)is this the rear main cap bolt galleries? Thanks for any help.

Pretty sure it has oil in it because the rear main leaks.
Stains around the crank look like a rear main leak also.

Anyone know if these ports the rear main seal cap bolts holes? Thanks

Is there a possibility oil is pushing through from the inside out of the rear main cap bolts? Thanks
