Well you asked for it, Not for racing,
but I have enjoyed a few passes at our 1/8 mile track
It was a convenient move so I could get fresh air to
my little 170/6 Breather by Jeep 4.0...

That one looks fairly solid. God forbid any high speed crash but if it happens, the battery potentially becomes a very heavy missile - likely moving forward. I may do a cut-out in the floor to recess it a few inches. It would be far stronger than anything just bolted down.

If you go with 3/8ths hold downs and fender washers or better under the floor , that battery isn't going anywhere.
If it does , you've got bigger problems than the incoming acid bath.
The bulk head you have installed ( you should if you haven't yet ) will save you some problems here too.
To the O.P. , I sumped my stock tank , but I'd look to put the cell further back to enhance traction if I was screwing your deal together.

you might want think about going to a 3/8" treaded rod for your hold downs.

i don't reckon those skinny ones will pass any one's tech.
Also straps for holding the fuel cell in place.I just bought an alumi. 10 gal cell.In the box came a note stating that they will no longer have weld on mound tabs, due to movement/twisting causing cracks in aluminum, therefore leaking fuel.Just food for thought.

20 gal cell, battery box.

Trunk panels were easy to make with carboard mock ups, then transferred the patterns to lauan board, glued on carpet Pyle and fitted them in the trunk.

None of the panels have fasteners of any type as they all just push in and fit snugly in their spots.
I want to ad some grab handles for the side panels.

This last pic was a crude mock up with carpet and card board panels but you can see there is plenty of storage on the drivers side.

I can fit a bunch of stuff between the back seat and the false panel.

Since nobody will be sitting in the back seats I was going to just build a storage compartment where the rear seat bottom lives but I decided to install the seats anyways.
