VERY NICE. I LIKE THE HURST WHEELS ON THE FRONT.
Not a clone but Hemi in a Demon
putting in the sway bar mounts and hd rear springs . fit the fuel lines the mounting fasteners . there was a bit of modifing to the sandwich sway bar end mount do to the large 11x2 1/2'' brakes and stock spring placement , and those 5/8'' u bolts . but nothing a saw n welder , drill press n dye grinder, belt sander couldn't fit . but it did ruin the powder coating on those parts . blaster n re coat again , lol . .
Ns1rm21’s (Troy) car just got featured in this months Mopar Muscle magazine. Some good tech info here too. Troy proofread it and spoon-fed as much info as here could. Some Assembly Required - Hot Rod Network
I personally can wait for the day that the Barracuda is done and I have matching bookends. Then I’m hanging it up.
hung a rear sway bar on dana 60 and just laid in the tti 2 1/2 tail pipes for fit . nice job tti did on these systems . and it clears with no issues .
I bought a 68 Plymouth Barracuda Hurst Super Stock Clone last October. Here are pictures of before and after engine detail. I think I have all the correct stuff, the only thing I'm missing is a 033 radiator. If you see something wrong let me know.
Looks very nice. Though, if I were you I would get a set of valve cover caps (or what you want to call them) Those from a mid sixties slant six shouldn't be to hard to find? This engine bay deserves them...
Oil breathers. I know they are expensive, but I think that stands out more than the 033 radiator. Now, if your current radiator is bad, then I’d go 033 first. For all the other effort, I’d hide the electronic ignition. Not much cost in that. Curious, are the wires orange or red ?
The wires are the real deal Packard. It took a while for me to find a set at a good price. Funny I never gave the oil breathers a thought, yes your right next on the list. Thanks
Thanks I will get it done.
Here is a picture of the wires, light red.
Used or new? If new, how much? I heard the repros are asking big bux.
Best price I have found anywhere.
Yes, and if you don´t want to get new caps. For Chrysler to make new caps didn´t make sens. If usable, they used what ever they had on the shelf, or any other Company had for that matter. I had been looking for them on other engines, Ford included, when these parts showed up. Reason why this big type was chosen is simply they breath better, as its main purpose is to ventilate crankcase. This cap was for a mid sixties 225 cid.
I bought a used set for $250. The repro's are a $1000. Total rip off. Here is a link for a new set Spark Plug Wire Set
I just bought a new ones on ebay for $35 each plus 9.00 shipping. 68 426 Hemi super stock valve cover breather | eBay 2 are left for sale.
BE&A does not have any more. When the first can out they were 59.00 pr.
Dave did you buy the last two on E bay? I saw there were two left, but now sold out. BE&A was the seller on E bay.
Yes I did not realize that it was BE&A. I call months ago and he said he was out.
Kramer has them for I think it is $195 a pair. Just realize these will only fit the 1966 type valve covers, not the current stamped steel ones.....
I have the B and E caps on my Dart and there very nice....I even paint them.
Put on the correct breathers and relocated the electronic box. looking better
Looks very good. Oil dip stick and tube. From where?
