power steering input shaft size

Hoping somebody can help me out. Trying to upgrade steering shaft coupler to a newer u-joints style. Can't figure out what the input shaft size is. Tried a 5/8 36 spline and it was too small, went to a 11/16 36 spline and it was too large? Have not been able to find anything on the internet that says what size that is. This is for a 1967 Barracuda with stock power steering box. Caliber say outside of splines are approximately 5/8

There is 5/8-36 spline and there is 5/8-36 Mopar spline. The spline shape is different and they do not interchange. Make sure you get the Mopar spline.
