Power steering shaft size?

Does anyone know the measurement of the power steering shaft for a 65 dart? I wanted to buy an extra piece of stock so I can lengthen mine

Most I have worked with are 5/8”. But I’m not sure your 65 is.

I got home and measured it with my calipers. .755 inches. Basically 3/4 of an inch

Just curious.....why would you want to lengthen a power steering gear input shaft?
