I have a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S 340 4 Speed and a Holly Sniper fuel system. Currently, I have low dim headlights and some power issues probably due to the electric fuel pump robbing power. I purchased a Powermaster 7018 Externally regulated Alternator and I have a couple of questions. I also have all new wiring harnesses for the engine compartment and under the dash with the gauge panel restored with a voltmeter conversion removing the Amp meter. Lastly, Solid State Voltage Regulator

My questions are:
Can I use the stock wiring?
Do I still use the OE wiring for the voltage regulator
Do I really need to run a heavier gauge wire to the battery?
Anyone have pictures or a wiring diagram?

Thanks in advance!

The first question is, what is the rated amperage. You seem to have done some upgrades, but I'm not sure what was done actually relieves the bulkhead connector. You can run a wire from the alternator output to the battery, BUT YOU MUST protect that with a fuse link/ heavy fuse/ breaker.
