Why would it need "new front fenders and decklid?"
4.25" bore 1970 340 block? eight sleeved cylinders?
Because the stock ones are to heavy????
Stephen Tate bought this car in 1971 in a suburb of New York City, when it was only about a year old and in mint condition. It was originally equipped with a four-barrel 340 with a four-speed manual transmission. AAR with 4 barrel ????? Looking at the engine compartment I do see the Tran AM tag next to the ViN tag...
I think they have the bore and stroke mixed up.
That's pretty cool. Congrats!
Those guys did a really nice job putting that car together. I was happy to be a small part of it.
What does the car actually weigh?
you are correct! did the math and that's what it pops out at me...444!
Not a real AAR, but the car is beautiful. I’m pretty sure it has better than 11.40 in it as an auto. Just so hard on parts and being consistent with the stick.
