Problem shipping internationally with Ebay.

So, short and sweet. A buyer in Australia purchased an item from me. Ebay wont let him pay and says I don't ship internationally, even though my shipping terms clearly state that I do. I also shipped internationally a couple of weeks ago with no issues. Ebays help center is useless. TIA

Australia has suspended all incoming, and outgoing parcel shipments from the US. This is due to Trumps tariffs.
This is effective August 2025.
BTW, New Zealand has also imposed this rule.
Kids, the price to play has gone up 30% to 100% more.

It appears the suspension was temporary and has since resumed.

There’s a process on the Australia Posts website for shipping, not sure what eBay’s hang up is.

Sorry but this is incorrect, “Australia” never suspended shipments to or from the USA but Australia Post did temporarily suspend shipments to the USA while they worked through the administrational issues of dealing with Trumps tariffs, this was only for a short period of time and is no longer the case.

Sometimes it may be a bit more complicated than that regarding overseas sales or purchases.

My buys are mostly used through sellers here. What or if the day comes the Government gets involved with that is when I'll get extra po'd.

eBay has an option to have them ship to a foreign address from their shipping hub with no cost to the seller other than shipping to their hub, the cost is paid to eBay by the buyer.

it's hitting the diecast racing community here, Australia has a very popular track (Chaos Canyon), and we can't send them cars.
and canada (905 diecast) is in the same boat. brings into question future of their channels
and canada PO was/is on strike, to boot

I buy the parts I sell from the EU. Know why? Because no one here in the US is willing to spend $10 million on the machinery to manufacture parts, that might sell for $5000.00 a year.
No one else, here in the US is willing, at all, to do it. I know this because I've checked. The people who can do it, want a minimum of $50,000.00 a year order, with a 5 year guarantee.
Buying from the EU was working out great. I found someone who was turning out high quality parts, at reasonable price, without a minimum order. The worst part was shipping.
Now, thanks to Mr. Wonderful, I have to deal with a 15% increase, longer customs hold times and higher shipping costs. I'm not eating that, I pass that along to the customer.
So, it's not as simple as buy locally, ya pud.

There is no problem receiving goods here in New Zealand from USA - I just received a parcel from Rock Auto last week - I think the problem might lie within the process of shipping or arranging shipping.

Big Houses like Summit and Rock Auto are Tax registered for New Zealand, and they have no issues sending items. I was worried I would be waiting for months....but the latest package arrived within a timely 7 days.

I sold one of my flip cap adapters to a guy in Germany and midway through the shipping process Ebay said they were not going to finish the delivery (and not return it to me) but I got to keep the money. Very weird!

Giving respect where respect is not due is not always a virtue. Sometimes speaking the truth is more important, even if honesty may offend someone. I have certainly not always agreed with RRR, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been absolutely spot on other times. Like in this thread? Spot on.

Perhaps your time would be better spent looking for a car to buy locally than commenting on international shipping threads.

Problem with that is, that stuff sits in their warehouse until they get enough to make the shipping viable. I got dinged with bad feedback because I sold someone a key & lock set that took nearly a month to ship from that warehouse.
I tried to get the feedback taken back, but eBay wanted $25 for them to appeal, and even though I had shipping info saying I shipped the same day as payment, and the item arrived two days later, they didn't repeal the feedback.
Now, that buyer is blocked, and no more international via the Illinois shipping hub.

I am a host, and currently have a race just starting. My track is a hill climb
and those tiny cars are as fickle as 1:1

test and tune2, the new race1 for the season drops thursday
there are many pro tracks and it's alot of fun
I have an austrailian, and a canadian in this race

I have found if it is under $1000 Australian no problem it goes straight through ,close or over $1,000 customs will hold the item until the correct paperwork is supplied & duties paid .
Australia post in Australia is terrible the items can be stuck at the airport or local courier depots for day's until the courier has enough items to service that area .FedEx & companies only do 1 pickup run a day even in main cities if it misses their morning pickup you have to wait until the next daily run for delivery. Most items take around 3 weeks to a month from time of order .
