Proportioning valve bolt

The bolt holding my prop valve to the frame will not tighten. The bolt looks fine so I assume the hole in the frame is stripped? Has anyone encountered this? If so what was the fix. Thanks.

One way would be to weld the hole shut, drill and tap. You could also drill a hold through the frame and use a long bolt with a nut on the backside. Or you could use a threaded insert like the one below.

That is a distribution block. If you can access the opposite side of the frame,put a nut on the bolt.

Or you could tap the hole with next size bolt.

i welded a wheel stud to the differential and mounted it to that. You could weld a bolt to the frame.

Thanks for the replies. I didn’t have a tap and needed it secured today so I drilled a hole through the frame and used a longer bolt with a nut.
