Original Big Block A-bodies are few and far between here in Sweden, so I have never seen one.
Someone have a pic or two, of what this looks like on the car?
I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.

The heat Shield covers the Distribution valve on the A-body 68-69 BB! Sorry Work in Progress back is 2014, the master is not correct for front Power Disc! Separate prop valve as shown for KH front Disc rear drum
has no Heat shield and is correct!

71 and newer used the combo valve like this. You can see the hold off valve is built in! Do not mix these the parts together!

Yes, good picture from an other angle.
Now, question is, did the ´68 SS Dart and Barracuda use it too?

Does anyone make a repro of the distribution valve heat shield for a ‘67-69 big block A body?

I quickly searched yesterday but couldn’t find a vendor.

Is black the original colour of this bracket?

I’ve seen unpainted metal and black brackets now.
I don't know to be honest. I'm sure I bead blasted and painted it years ago, because the attaching hardware was stainless steel. I do that whenever I can. I'm going to blast it again and paint it silver to reflect as much heat as possible. The plan is to also make a drawing so it could be reproduced before I return it to the Barracuda.

Thank you for all the pictures.
Yes, good idea. I might be interested in one if I decide to put one in.
Here is how I made a very nice copy of the K-frame brackets for my project.
Silver tape over the original piece, (from an original K-frame) cut and remove tape and place it on a flat piece of sheet metal.
But you may already have thought of this way of doing it...

Thanks for your suggestion. Nice practical way of getting it done. I was/am a design engineer. I'll take all the measurements and make a solid model, then a drawing. That way they can be made by anyone anytime.

If anyone is still looking for this shield, I had ordered one from year one and I have it available to anyone that can use it. It’s brand new from Year one. Send me a PM if you want it

Thank you for the offer.

I checked my car yesterday and to my surprise I have one installed already.

I never really paid attention to that heat shield until I saw this post.

Stainless Steel is correct.
My original was Stainless. My replacement are the same!

I was very Fortunate to Purchase a very original mechanically correct car in in 1984. Very few original parts were disturbed and or replaced!
