Hi everyone,

I"m currently building a 1972 340 for a 72 340 duster. the car is a non ac car but I"ve chosen to go with power steering. My question is How do I determine what pulley I need for the crankshaft? I know their different part nos.? Can anyone help me?

Thanks

I believe that the bolt pattern on the 340 crank snout is different from the 318 so you need to make sure the holes will line up or you may have to oval a hole or 2 in the pulley.

These are the ones that you need... I gave two links for different outlets for your comparison...

Double crank pulley:

Crankshaft Pulley with Power Steering w/o AC

BPE Double-Groove Crankshaft Pulley - Bouchillon Performance Engineering

Water pump pulley:

Water Pump Pulley w/o AC

BPE Water Pump Pulley - Bouchillon Performance Engineering

You will also want an alternator with a single groove pulley, not a double, so the belt will line up best....
