So i ordered som cibie headlights of of amazon and what i got in the box was two green boxes that said Valeo on them. Box is marked made in belgium and the headlights do in fact say Cibie on them Did i get real ones or knockoffs.

Sweet not bad for free gonna pop them in right now and hopefully all the raving is true.

You might want to install a relay between the factory H/L switch & the lights them selves. I ran them in the late 70's & they would go dark are long late night driving. I contacted an automotive electrician & we installed two relays & the problem went away. It seems that the Euro H/L draws some serious amps, causing the H/L switch to over heat.

Ive got a relay kit already just upgraded from sealed beams and they are fantastic.

One thing you might consider, is you can get higher/brighter output bulbs for them also. I stepped up to higher/brighter high beam bulbs, & the first time I flipped on the high beams it looked like the sun came up. LMAO

Valeo is the parent company. Aim is slightly different than the original sealed beams. Follow the procedure outlined by Dan Stern.

A good +30 or +50 H4 or H4/HB2 bulb will draw about the same power if you want brighter, and only trade off is a slightly shorter life. One of the lighting experts on Candlepowerforums shared some test results of H4 type bulbs.
