Question about hood to radiator seal

I took my 69 Dart apart so long ago I'm starting to forget how some parts are supposed to go back on. I have a new hood to radiator seal and can't remember which way it goes on. I think the open length-wise part of it faces forward but just want to double-check before I put it on. Am I correct?
