I have a 74 Dart Sport Slant 6 with automatic, my radiator split along the top outlet and there are no shops close to me that can fix it even if it is repairable. This is just an everyday driver so Im not looking to spend alot of money on a new radiator and was wondering if there is another solution out there from another vehicle that with some modification will work? Perhaps something from a Jeep 4.0 or something along those lines. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks motorpirate for the reply but Im in Canada so to get that radiator with exchange and shipping will be close to $600 dollars. Ive been down the ebay road before and it typically costs double by the time I have it in my hand.

Have you stopped by a Napa or, even worse, a Canadian Tire? Anything on Craigslist or kijij? If not, then eBay might be your best bet unless you want to have a non-running car?

Yes Napa is trying to source something for me but he said hes not very confident he will find anything other than the $980 one he found already. PASS.
Yes Ive checked kijiji and nothing, Craigslist isnt very popular around here but I will check it out. I found a couple on amazon canada but need to get my old one out and measure outlet/inlet sizes, they are still over $300 to my door, which is what I figured this would cost if the dimensions are close.

I think I paid around $150 or so for one from summit.. generic.. kind of Chevy style.. I made two little L-shaped brackets and padded them to set the bottom in.. Used some window strip padding up the sides and Chevy style C-bracket on top ($25 or so on summit). Ordered inlet top left and exit bottom right. If you need automatic transmission cooler don't forget that... I ordered as wide and tall as would comfortably fit.. the tanks are on the sides not top & bottom.. the finned opening is the same size as the core support opening.. two row aluminum..
Electric fan with temp sensor set @180.(Personal preference)...
410 Stroker with AC.. never over 195° on 100° days...

You can see it's close to the frame rails and I might have had to go a little smaller on the battery side (not sure) as my battery is in the trunk...
You can get that top cover in black as well and the first couple of years I just had a quick L-shaped bracket holding it to the core support..

I have had great luck with champion aluminum radiators. You don't need the 4 core the 2 core works great . Also i have purchased rebuilt radiators from glen ray radiators. They advertise in Mopar collector guide. That radiator is going on 15 years with no issues what so ever.

I have a collection of about 100 different radiators for a bodies and b bodies i have collected over the years thinking I would need to use them, now they just take up space with all the options today.
