I finished putting my new 68 ralley dash together and noticed the bottom of the new lenses wanting to fall inward and resting on the gauges. I am wondering how you all are dealing with this and does anyone have a good solution for this problem.
    Thanks

Lenses should be tight against the bezel.

If they’re not clocked correctly, they will not stay flushed against the plastic dash and the mounting brackets.

Did you use a soldering iron to put them back together?

I used a soldering iron and then also mixed up some clear epoxy to mount everything back together.

When I did mine I did not trust just melting the tabs so I did that and added some small drop of super glue

The more you know.... This original fuel gauge is a source of chassis ground. The original amp gauges are fire cracker hot all over. If the top of the metal matting frame should fall against these 2 gauges, the needle in the fuel gauge will be cremated to a white powder ash in a millisecond. Can leave a burn scar on the screen too.
Back in their daily driver days, owners would learn this by tapping on the lens when a gauge stopped working.
Bottom line, you can't overdo anchoring these bezel pieces.
