One of my car club buddies is starting a new build.
Not an A-body, but one of these...

The shop is doing a bit of trimming to fit a slightly larger tire in the back...

Yeah, yeah, I know.
It was a front-wheel drive originally, but he's changing things around because he wants a bit more power than the original 2.2 put down to the road.

OK, I'm listening !

I think that would be bad *** with a mid mount V8 motor right behind the glass. Work buddy has an LT1 in a Corvair, looked stock under a huge speaker looking box in the back seat.

Goll dangit. Was wanting to bust your balls over that. lol

firepower hemi
then he can call it a little red firepower wagon

There was an early Rampage here in Texas many years back with a 340 mounted backwards in the bed with the drive train running through a Casale V drive. It was a rocket for it's time, I wish I knew where it went.

Those Casale V-Drives had more uses than just deep holes in the water for boat owners to throw money into

Nope. Not a Firepower early Hemi, and not a turbine (but that would be very cool).
Actually, it's going to have modern Mopar muscle under the hood.
D'ya think a 5.7 will get this little trucker down the road?

AH ! I was going to guess that ! you beat me to it..
Lot's of parts available for the 3G Hemi. Have a donor yet?

This would be a fun little street ride with the current modern Mopar 305-horse 3.6-liter V6, but you sure wouldn't need those big stickies in back for that.

OK, enough teasing...

"Rambo" is going from this...

707 Mopar in-your-face, you-don't-want-any-part-of-this horsepower!
Yeah, this is going to be a FUN ride.

Ya know. Since it's a same make engine swap with newer engine technology. There might even be a smog certificate from a referee

There was a guy the raced one at the local track in the 90s. it was an all tube chassis RWD with a 440 6pak engine in it. He loved it change the oil and run 9s all day. He said it was 1800lbs with him in it.

That'll haul some lumber...
Please tell me it's going to have 3 pedals! :)

Sorry, any "3rd pedal" would have to be a "dead pedal" for your left foot.
The Hellcat engine will be backed by the 8-speed automatic that came with it out of the rolled donor car.
