This is not mine, but my first car was a '55 Dodge. It was a hand-me-down from my brother after he graduated college and bought a brand new '66 GTO. His was a lot more fun to drive than mine was.

I've been thinking of extending the roof of my shed/shop when I do the build-out this summer, something similar to a lean-to, if you will, as I could use the extra covered area for trailers and what-not. The service door (not visible here) is located around the corner/on the side of building, and is oriented much like yours.

These are the only exterior pictures I have of the building here at work:

Service door is opposite side from where this F150 was parked, but this picture gives an idea of the space I have on both sides.

Anyway, I was thinking I could do this myself, but given your snow load, and what we experienced here a couple years ago (very similar to yours), I may have to reconsider my design and hire this out.

Thank you for the "visuals", as I may not have built it sturdy enough.

Usually I get lucky and it shoots off, not this year... it's been a "plopper". Wasn't a big deal when I was younger and had 3 kids to shovel with me... but at 63 I'm gonna extend the overhang by 4 feet. I've been saying that for a few years, but if I do it now it'll never snow like this again! LOL. My 60' span trusses are designed for 82lb/sq ft load. Been tested this year..

OH, and someone should have gave thought when he placed the oil tanks and fillers, but again... that was ME !
