Hi all.

I have a 440. Want to re-insall dist / oil pmp gear so the distributor rotor aligns like factory.
Any advice?
It is at tdc compression stroke.
thanks much.

It's right in the shop manuals.......

Basically just straight ahead in line with the crank.............

Bear in mind, tho, that not all distributors have the rotors in the same relative alignment with the tang, so you may be wasting your time, LOL

I had to line mine up about 30° off to keep my vacuum advance canister from hitting my coil. My coil is a little farther forward than it is on stock engines, but not to much.

Roger that roger!
Thanks folks. I had figured I could put in and take out until I achieved desired effect (that's what she said) but was hoping there was a dot or something to get it right first time.
