I'm sure someone here has some RC knowledge. I recently just bought this for pretty cheap. Traxxas I believe they are called. Can someone educate me some on it? Could I get a new body for it if I wanted. I'd prefer something a bit older looking.

Looks like maybe a Traxxas TRX4. They were sold with a variety of different bodies so may be able to find a body you like already painted. Traxxas makes nice RC trucks these days.

Lexan bodies of many kinds are available, some already painted, many not painted. Just verify wheelbase and adapt the body mounts if it is not a direct fit body.

Proline is one company that has offered different bodies for years. Someone had a Ramcharger body for a while, if trying to go Mopar themed.

Be kinda careful.
My grandson took me into a RC store.
I was amazed at the accessories avail.
A set of 4 wheels and tires cost as much as for my car.
Not kidding.
I think grandpa got sucked in, lol
But they sure are fun .

For what I paid for it. Some accessories won't bother me. But this car habit and 2 young kids. I just can't afford a new hobby. My son loves it and that's all that I care about.

Enjoy .
I got a coupla boxes of stuff off a fella that'd lost interest.
That had a coupla boats in it .
Good luck

Once you identify which truck it is and the scale, which appears to be 1/10, which is the most common, you can grab any body in the scale. There are body mount posts that you can change the height of if needed.

Www.towerhobbies.com and www.amainhobbies.com are good online hobby shops if you don't have a local one.

Here's a pic of my old one...I made it match my fullsize rig.
