If there's anyone in the St.Louis area that can tell me about a place that can re-chrome front and rear bumpers, that would be appreciated. Thanks!

That place looks fantastic. Too bad they are so far from St.Louis! Thanks Tool man.

Custom plating service in brillion, wisconsin.

I’m in VA snd shipped my 66 wagon’s rear bumper and guards to them by FddEx. Also shipped to them my 47 Dodge’s front and rear bumpers (5 pieses esch) to them also by FrdEx. Shipping cost wasn’t hsteful and the results looked absolutely stunning!

I just got a quote from them for $1500 plus $200 return shipping for both bumpers on my ‘65 Darts. They recommended UPS, but I’m going to check FedEx as well. Businesses probably get a better rate. My big concern is how to package them. We’re at our summer cabin right now, so I’ll probably wait until Fall to ship. 65 Dartman is a lot closer, but if he says they do good work I’m pretty sure they are ok. I have two cars to do, so the first one will be a test. Nothing is cheap anymore (not sure it ever was.)

FWIW...Tri-City did the front and rear bumpers on my 71 Demon 340 show pony car. I was not disappointed.

In March 2022 I sent my 70 Dart Rear bumper to TriCity. Chris estimated $600-650 and 6-8 weeks turnaround time. It was about 6 weeks and it came out beautiful! Here's what he said when I asked about shipping. "When shipping it you can ship it with UPS and just put the sticker on the bumper, if it gets scratched it doesnt matter as we are stripping it and metal finishing it anyhow." IIRC it cost me about $50 to ship. It came back well packaged.

When I was getting ready to do my Dart wagon’s rear bumper, I mentioned i had NOS guards for it. He highly recommended doing the guards at the same time. the guards might be NOS but they won’t match the bumper in finish. The guards now look just as nice as the bumper

I have not used these folks....... but you
may want to try S&H chrome plating in the Nashville, Tennessee area. Just Google them.
IMO, their work looks awesome.

I used Tri city almost 20 years ago. I did the deal over the phone or maybe internet and met them at Carlisle with my cores. Point is see if they go to a show near you etc. Meet up with them at their booth theyll have your bumpers wrapped with your name on it.

Look into Ogden chrome in Northern Utah, they used to have free shipping.

I put a AMD reproduction bumper on the front of my Dart, and not once did anyone say anything negative about it? Good price and free shipping from Summit. I sold my old bumper for $100 to offset some of the cost.

I'm pretty lucky to live 45 minutes or so from Tri City Plating. It makes it a LOT easier....but not any cheaper, lol. I think their prices are fair, for all the hoops they have to jump thru to operate the business.

There’s no such thing as free shipping, especially on something the size of bumpers….. unless UPS or FedEx has a side hustle chrome plating business.

I suspect Ogden Chrome’s pricing including shipping in their chroming cost.
