IIRC, the axles from the SN95 Mustangs are a tiny bit wider...but will this be acceptable in a Dart Sport (like mine) or a Duster with the extra room in the wheel wells?

If so, what would be involved in the swap-- just welding on the spring perches?

Could the disk brakes be used too??

It's pretty convenient that they already have the 4.5" bolt circle axles.

Thanks for any info. Finding a limited slip 8.25" around here is a futile effort. :)

it will fit, but your better off with the explorer 8.8's as they have the 31 spline axles and not the 28's like the mustangs. you just take 3 inches from the drivers side axle tube and run a passenger side axle shaft in its place since its 3 inches shorter than the drivers axle you just removed and fits perfectly. also depending on your area they may be cheaper/easier to find. also i think the mustangs had control arm mounting points cast into the center section of the housing.

Wow... you guys are great. Thanks.

Got your PM, Dustin.
