1972 dart . 10" brakes . i am looking at buying wheel cylinder rebuild kits for the rear wheel cylinders , but i see selections for w/ hard boot or w/ soft boot . anyone know how to tell which one to use , or if it matters ? mine are original so if they used to be soft they are not anymore . external boot on outside of cylinder .

Interesting. Never knew there was a choice.

Why waste your time when you can buy the whole thing for $5 .
More Information for RAYBESTOS WC37235

thats the back up plan , but when i did the fronts , both brake lines broke trying to get them off and stripped two of the wheel cylinder bolts as well . ( even after soaking everything in pb blaster once a day for about four days ) since the back is even rustier than the fronts , i was gonna try to just rebuild the old ones without taking them off .

Hard boot slips over the machined end. Soft boot has a groove around the ends for the boot to slip into.

thanks , they are flat machined on the end . i will get the hard boots . thank you .
