We picked this car up locally awhile back, running but barely.
It ate its cam but the people kept driving it until the metal of the cam basically ground up the the entire motor.
Well my bud Mike was replacing the perfectly fine lightly modded 318 in his 71 Dart with a 440 so had no use for the 318.
That motor went into this 72 Swinger, but was installed with a factory style two barrel intake and carb with the functional bi metal operated choke.
It’s a sweet little survivor car, and runs and drives nice.
The dash pad was pretty bad, so I knocked down the jagged areas with a 4 inch grinder and covered it with some padded black alligator vinyl I already had laying around.
The seat has a rip in it on the drivers butt area and it’s high back section is sun baked, but I noticed a little earlier when I took the keys out from the passenger side it looked pretty dang good from that side, so I took a couple of pics for you guys to check out.
It does have it’s dents and dings, but nothing real serious.
Unfortunately it just sits there, in the driveway licensed and insured.
This is not a for sale thread.
They are still out there to be had.
