440 with schumacher headers. I'm not seeing a way to get the starter out without taking the headers off. I haven't even been able to reach the top bolt yet either. This thing is harder to get to than I thought it would be. Anyone else run into this?

TTI headers, Maddog headers are the same way BB w/good headers all have this problem.

Got the mini starter, that's what I'm going to put in. Sounds like this won't be a 5min job like I thought it would.

I had to remove my center link and header to get mine off, then turn the pitman arm all the way over. I've got Hedman long tubes on a 318. Installed the mini starter and very happy with it.

I have a 440 in mine with the same headers a mini starter is really easy to get in and out.

I have a 440 and the same headers, a mini starter is really easy to get in and out just turn the wheel to move the pitman arm out of the way. Your biggest problem now is getting the old starter out.
