I need to replace the trans mount on my 70 Duster. It appears to have a lip holding the old one in place. I don't see any way to get the old one out and new one in other than cutting that lip off, to heavy to bend it. Any problems if I cut it?

Also, anyone use the poly mounts for the transmission? Are the worth double the price of rubber?

Sorry about the sideways picture, tried it three times and iPhone won't let me upload a rotated pic.

Ok, when I first looked at it I thought it would be a tough angle to get on and bend, but ended up taking about 3 minutes. Thanks for keeping me from grabbing the cut off wheel first.

Any thoughts from anyone on the poly mounts? Advantage/disadvantages? This is a street car, about 400hp with a 4spd.

Although I haven't driven it yet every friggin mount/ bushing on my car is polyurethane. I switched to the later spool type engine and tranny mounts. The insert on the later spool type tranny mount is cheaper than the earlier biscuit mounts.
