    I mounted the speakers on the underside of the car metal and used speaker material over the the tray.
    Completely flat with NO speakers showing at all and sounds just as good. :D

    Nice job on yours also.

    If you choose to cover that board with material, make sure its a UV stable product. Otherwise the sunlight will eat it up.
    And while you're back there, do consider a high mount/3rd brake lamp addition.

    Limo tint rear and side windows here, so on my car it didn't matter very much about the material. :D
    Now on the Wife's 72 with no tint I expect that speaker cover material to be 3 shades lighter by the end of next summer.

    I did not do this.. got vinyl material from fabric store. Was faded in a couple months. I repainted it with a can of SEM that cost more than the material. :BangHead:

    Turned out great w the vinyl. I may end up doing that with mine too.

    I just redid mine with aluminum, but I'll have angled speakers on top just tucked on the side.
