Gene Winfield has passed away at age 97. He was a true legend and pioneer of custom car building. RIP

Crazy that he was still building and designing into his 90s. A legend in the fabrication world for sure.
 
Gene was a true artist. So sorry to read of his passing.
I read where he was 97.
 
I am very saddened to here this news, prayers for his loving family and many friends, he was a true legend and hot roder, fabrication skills and introducing fabrication back in the day no one else was doing till he slept in..jmo.. very creative and fun fellow that I believe was in a couple movies..now I see it was bladeRunner.. edit.. I cam here to post this thread, but another member was on the job.. thank you @dukeboy440

That really sucks but he lived a full long life so I'm also happy. Seemed like a great guy
 
Local guy, his first shop is just down the street.... RIP Gene...

Sad to gear of his passing. Busy doing what he loved, right to the end. Custom cars and always a pretty gal at his side. RIP Gene
 
Definitely one of the Legends in the car world!!!

He did a lot of great how-to videos on Eastwood!!!

This is a great video of him that this Kid named Noah did of him not too long ago!!!!
